Lauren Ummel

Lauren is a senior at White Oak High School. She has been on the journalism and yearbook staff for two years, and holds the responsibility of a writer and photographer. Lauren has also been a participant of the high school Student Council, volleyball, captain of the flag running team, and varsity powerlifting team all four years. She is a member of the National Honor Society and will attend Baylor University, where she plans on majoring in Communications for nonprofits.

Matthew Fontaine

Matthew Fontaine is a junior, this is his first year on journalism staff and he is the business manager. Matthew plays baritone in the White Oak High School band and also participates in LD debate.

Isaac Rodriguez is a junior and this is his second year on journalism staff. He is yearbook editor along with copy editor of the print edition of the Gauger. Isaac is a flute player in the Regiment of Roughnecks along with participating in CX debate.

White Oak was able to easily dispatch of the Red Raiders thanks to the often deadly combination of an explosive offensive attack combined with a hungry and attacking defense. All About That Bass

With two tournament downs, the White Oak Bass Fishing Team fished for first place. Recruiting sponsors and fishing competitively hasn’t slowed them down as they performed well in their latest tournament last Saturday, October 3, at Lake o’ the Pines. A 17.73 pound winning bag of fish caught by freshman Trenton Gross and sophomore Seth Kutch earned the team a scholarship money total of $730 and Vendetta 7′ rod combos. Sabrina is a sophomore and serves as both the Assistant Editor-in-Chief of the Gauger and Copy/Design Editor of the Roughneck yearbook. This is her second year on staff.
