Cade Palmer

Cade is a senior and both the Yearbook Editor of the Roughneck and a Copy Editor of the Gauger. He’s been on journalism for four years and served as the Gauger Editor-in-Chief last year and the Sports Editor of both entities his sophomore year. He enjoys sports, politics, and academics.

Lauren Ummel

Lauren is a senior at White Oak High School. She has been on the journalism and yearbook staff for two years, and holds the responsibility of a writer and photographer. Lauren has also been a participant of the high school Student Council, volleyball, captain of the flag running team, and varsity powerlifting team all four years. She is a member of the National Honor Society and will attend Baylor University, where she plans on majoring in Communications for nonprofits.

Matthew Fontaine

Matthew Fontaine is a junior, this is his first year on journalism staff and he is the business manager. Matthew plays baritone in the White Oak High School band and also participates in LD debate.

Isaac Rodriguez

Isaac Rodriguez is a junior and this is his second year on journalism staff. He is yearbook editor along with copy editor of the print edition of the Gauger. Isaac is a flute player in the Regiment of Roughnecks along with participating in CX debate.

Jeremy Patak

Jeremy is a senior and this is his first year on staff. He is a writer and photographer, and he also is an operator of the Drone. Aside from journalism, Jeremy is a member of the the White Oak basketball team.

Sabrina Smith

Sabrina is a sophomore and serves as both the Assistant Editor-in-Chief of the Gauger and Copy/Design Editor of the Roughneck yearbook. This is her second year on staff. Her interests include sports, music and anything involving a book. Outside journalism, she plays basketball, runs track, plays on a club soccer team, participates in Model UN, UIL and watches Netflix. Makenna Gibbs

Makenna Gibbs is a sophomore, and this is her first year on the journalism staff. She plays the clarinet in the band and is on the flag line. Her best subject is probably English and her least favorite is math, but overall she doesn’t like school. In her free time she enjoys reading, writing, and watching Netflix.
